Calendar, Ranking points, New Pages

There are three new pages on the site,-

Ranking Points

For 2004 Ranking points will be given for each game. For Each fully paid up player in a game, one ranking point will be added to it, for example if ten players pay in, the winner gets ten ranking points, the second gets 9 and so on. Any player who has then played at least three sets will then add his top three finishes in terms of ranking points for the year. IF (and it is "if") we had been ranking in 2003 the result would have been:

1 Pat Gibson 23
2 Steve Kidd 18
3 Darren Martin 17.5
4 Kevin Ashman 17
5 Steve Pearson 15
6 Mark Kerr 14
7 Alan Gibbs 14
8 Sean Carey 14
9 Graham Barker 11
10 Barry Simmons 9
11 Kartl Wheelan 8
13 Lee Warburton 8
12 Will Jones 8

N.B. Some notables on this list did not play three games.

Here are some confirmed dates

Rainhill on Sunday 29th February

For the so far unique opportunity to play on this peculiar date, we will be at the Victoria at the end of February. Provisionally I would like to start at 11:00 AM with an hour for lunch at 1 o'clock and finish by four PM.

Todmorden on Sunday 28th March

Same times as above. I do believe that Dave Tilley, has not only got us the great venue of the Conservative Club, but the steward is also putting some food on. There will be a few new faces here and it is conveniently on the border between Yorkshire and Lancashire. Don't forget to put your clocks forward!

The Tod Con Club is in Fielden Square, on Rochdale Road, just by the Safeway supermarket, where there is a large amount of parking
