Light Speed Individual Open Buzzer Quiz: News 28: 12th May 2004

Come and Have a Go - Next Event at Farnborough on 23rd - New Web Server

Come and Have a Go

What a lot can happen in six weeks, six days, six seconds, and how lucky we are. This is a statement of fact. One week ago I had a thinly disguised moan at missing out on Millionaire. This week, a team of our people scooped £40,052 on the new BBC Quiz show ‘Come and Have a Go (if you think you’re smart enough)’ I reckon that with 20,000 individual teams competing we may have won the biggest real time quiz in the whole world ever! There is an absolutely fabulous discussion about the issues at quizzing.co.uk, and there will eventually be a dedicated page to the achievement. We had a great, great team, reasonable organisation and a huge slice of luck. Brilliantly done Di's Diamonds.

James WebbNext Event at Farnborough on 23rd

James Webb has organised a venue for Farnborough on Sunday 23rd May. Get to the Ham and Blackbird for 12 Noon for four hours of intense quizzing. Originally it might just have been James Webb, C.J. et moi, but it seems that a list of luminaries including Mark K., Diane, M*By. & Co. are all coming to be humiliated once again.

Please pass this on to anybody in the catchment who you think might like a go (If they think they're smart enough)
